Everyone is talking about coronavirus these days. It’s not surprising that people are worried and want to protect themselves. We at Stockholm International Swimming Club are following the recommendations of the public health authorities in Sweden and would like to inform our students of what we’re doing to protect our students, keep our lessons save and help prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Sweden.
We are monitoring the situation closely and taking measures in accordance with the recommendations of the Swedish Public Health Agency. Our top priority for us is student safety. And to keep our courses safe, we choose to apply the precautionary principle.
That is why we ask all our students, as well as our coaches, to stay home if they feel sick after visiting any of the following countries or after having contact with any person who has visited any of the following countries:
- China
- The Italian regions of Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna and Veneto
- Iran
- South Korea
Here are some basic preventive measures to avoid respiratory tract infections:
- Avoid touching your face or eyes
- Avoid close contact with sick people
- Wash your hands frequently
At the moment, there is no reason to reschedule or cancel lessons. At the same time, we’d like to remind students about our cancellation policy
For cancellations, we require 14 days notice prior to the scheduled course start. If you cancel less than 14 days from the start of your course, you will be liable to pay for the entire course. In the event of an emergency or illness, contact your insurance company. We offer our students the opportunity to make up one missed class. Just let us know and we’ll find a spot in another group. For individual lessons, we require 24 hours‘ notice.
See you in the pool!
