Everyone is discussing coronavirus these days. It’s not surprising that people are worried and want to protect themselves and their families. But it’s important to not cross the line and not to start panicking. We at Stockholm International Swimming Club want to inform our current and future students about what we do to protect our students, keep our lessons save and help prevent the spread of the coronavirus in Sweden.
We are monitoring the situation closely and we take measures in accordance with the recommendations of the Swedish Public Health Agency. A top priority for us is our students’ safety. To keep our courses save, we choose to use the precautionary principle.
That is why we ask all our students, as well as our coaches, to let us know and refrain from coming to the lesson if they are feeling sick after visiting one of the following countries or after having some contact with a person who has visited one of the following countries:
- The Italian regions of Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, and Veneto
- South Korea
Here are some basic preventive measures against any respiratory tract infections:
- avoid touching your face or eyes;
- avoid close contact with sick people;
- wash your hands frequently.
In the current situation, there is no reason for rescheduling courses or canceling lessons. That is why we would like to remind our students about our cancellation policy.
We require 14 days cancellation notice prior to the scheduled course start. If you cancel your participation less than 14 days from the course start, the payment will still have to be made. If you have an urgent matter, please contact your Insurance company for compensation. We offer our students the opportunity to make up one missed class. All you have to do is inform us when you will miss a class, and we will find you a spot in another available group. We require 24 hours cancellation prior to the booked individual lesson.
Don’t panic — be healthy! See you in the pool!
