For several years, Stockholm International Swimming Club has been offering free swimming lessons for asylum seekers in Sweden in cooperation with Stockholm Länsstyrelsen. This year’s project is called Vattenstart and it focuses on water safety, in particular, open water safety.
Since January, we’ve held several indoor swimming courses for asylum seekers of all levels. And in the summer, we offered an open water swimming camp for asylum seekers.
Our coaches Qlasse and Ho Yi also ran 2 workshops on open water safety.
